Position Overview:
The Wash Plant Foreman will be responsible for leading a team to achieve scheduled production load-out targets and coordinate tasks to ensure safety and compliance. The Wash Plant Foreman is a full-time, seasonal position, with the option of working year-round on other tasks as needed. The Foreman requires travel and will be supplied with a company vehicle, work overtime with occasional weekends through peak season, and reports to the Wash Plant Superintendent.

General Duties and Functions:
- Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects
- Ensure equipment preventative maintenance is performed timely, thoroughly, and correctly at all times
- Consistently keep equipment clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety, and efficiency
- Make safety the main priority while working on equipment
- Ensure all equipment in operation meets or exceeds all safety standards
- Additional duties as assigned by management, as this job description is non-exhaustive
- Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours)
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Organize and lead a team to achieve scheduled production load-out targets and coordinate maintenance tasks to ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance
- Keep the wash plant and other associated areas clean and organized
- Operate wash plant machinery by operating a computerized control panel
- Works inside an enclosed booth to oversee and look down upon the machinery and crushing process
- Troubleshoot and communicate problems with the ground crew
- Assist with machine maintenance, repairs, unplug shovel off conveyors/screens, repair conveyor problems, and grease moving machine parts
- Perform crusher machinery set up and take down, which includes running cables and hoses, setting up blocks, tarping, shoveling aggregate, etc.
- Operate heavy equipment/skid steer to move parts and materials if needed
- Interact with department heads at Corporate Office to ensure proper reporting of payroll hours, staffing changes, crew and equipment movements, production tonnages, mechanical breakdowns, and quality issues
- Perform daily pre and post-inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public at all times
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operation and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA
- Cross-train with applicable positions
Position Requirements:
- Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen and must be able to pass a drug test
- Consent to authorization of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record request
- 3 years of experience required
- Loader experience
- MSHA part 46 and 48 miner certification
- Mechanical knowledge
- Possess excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Fabrication skills
- License greater than a Class B CDL
