UNFI in Centralia is now hiring a Flex Shift Supervisor to manage the Flex Shift Program (variable workforce). In this role, you will be responsible for the onboarding, training, scheduling, management, and vision necessary to ensure the facility is maximizing the Flex Shift Program. You will have the opportunity to grow the program in terms of headcount and its contribution to our distribution center.

Here is some of what you will do:
- Responsible for overall execution of Flex Shift Program (managing a team of associates with no set schedule and flexible work arrangements)
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and training a team of flex shift associates
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the Kronos (UKG) mobile app (will post shifts to be picked up by Flex Shift associates)
- Collaborate with the Work, Your Way Program manager to relay Flex Shift program status, and escalate related questions/issues, as needed
- Monitor and enforce work rules and policies, including creating and issuing discipline
- Conduct order selection trail audits and finished pallet breakdown audits
- Maintain daily production and accuracy records
- Understand and enforce food safety guidelines
- Communicate regularly with flex shift associates to discuss safety, productivity, and accuracy
- Walk the warehouse daily with the warehouse manager to ensure that safety, security, sanitation, and pest control codes, laws, and policies are maintained
- Ensure that equipment is being used economically and efficiently
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with all departments
- Conduct safety trainings
- Perform other relevant job duties as required
Who should apply?
Professionals with the following:
- Strong general knowledge of all warehousing operations, with prior work experience to include a lead person or supervisory duties, preferably with the Company
- Possess good supervisory skills and the ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read and interpret computerized reports
- You will have an analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities.
- Possess the ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions throughout your day
- Basic computer skills required. Microsoft word, excel, and outlook experience preferred.
Physical environment
- Walking on the warehouse floor cautiously due to forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, and movement of tractors and trailers
- Temperatures range between -20 to 70 degrees. Noise levels in all areas are within acceptable tolerance ranges for those specific work areas.
- May sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer
- Lift up to 75lbs, stand, walk, bend, stop, twist, and turn frequently
- Repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements for maintenance and service procedures
- Work with your hands and arms overhead, and work in or under the equipment
- Manual dexterity, coordination, and good balance to work at ground level and high places
- Operating work-related equipment

Compensation
- Pay Range: $50,000 - 90,500 Annually ($24.04 - 43.51 Hourly)
- Other Compensation: Bonus Eligible
