Responsibilities:
What will you be doing?
  • Provide guidance and leadership for 10 to 14 hourly associates.
  • Process owner of the internal warehouse operation and business performance for assigned shift.
  • Set example and lead shipping and receiving hourly personnel in a manner that achieves all safety goals and fosters a proactive environment for resolving safety risks.
  • Manage internal and outside warehouse ingredient inventories and FIFO requirements on shift.
  • Process owner of all inbound deliveries, including LTL.
  • Coordinate all internal and external warehouse requirements, including layout and storage.
  • Create and author process SOPs and OPLs as required.
  • Drive accountability amongst hourly associates to promote an autonomous work environment.
  • Coordinate with Operations departments to ensure timely elevation and de-elevation of materials and prompt receipt of JIT shipments.
  • Responsible for managing the on-shift Shipping-Customer Services function in order to provide optimum movement of raw materials, package materials, and finished product at the most efficient and economical cost
  • Participate in establishing and maintaining working programs to minimize transit and/or storage damage within established guidelines.
  • Oversee proper utilization of warehousing space before leveling inventories. Control accuracy of shipments and goods received to minimize product loss and cost.
  • Execute departmental cost reduction/improvement programs to meet or beat annual savings and productivity improvement targets.
  • Provide input on department’s annual variable and period budgets and direct assigned shift in such a manner to ensure the highest level of efficiency while meeting budgets.
  • Practice effective labor relations and consistent contract and policy administration to promote a work environment conducive to teaming and the motivation of the employees.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work off shifts.
  • Provide coverage for other departmental FLL’s and positions as necessary.
Qualifications:
Who are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Experience in manufacturing desired
  • 1-3 years in warehousing or shipping, or SC field preferred
  • Must possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Experience leading teams of 5+ employees
  • A desire to grow with the organization, including potential developmental role moves to other operating departments
Compensantion and Benefits:

Expected salary range is $ 71,000 - 85,000 annually

Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement
