THE ROLE
Impact Museums is seeking Venue Associate to join the team at our Los Angeles venue. The Venue Associate will represent the venue and will carry and lead a strong vision for the venue and team.
These individuals will play a critical role in providing support to their leadership team with responsibility for all aspects of operations for their venue, including ticketing, food & beverage, warehouse, and retail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the venue within the policies and guidelines set forth by the General Manager and the leadership team
- Participate in staff meetings and drive areas of improvement as it relates to guest relations
- Ensure a timely operation of multiple exhibits and practice the safety procedures and protocols and in compliance with state, federal and local regulations as well as company and brand standards
- Greeting visitors upon arrival
- Light custodial duties as necessary
- Cross- trained in operating computerized ticketing, retail, and food & beverage systems and ensuring all account data is captured accurately
- Processing and managing cash, debit, and credit card transactions with confidence
- Promote and communicate health and safety procedures put in place to protect staff and guests, and report safety hazards to the Supervisor and/or Manager on Duty
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager and Impact Museums management team
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills
- Excellent customer service, high energy, and enthusiasm
- A high level of self-awareness, receptivity to change, and integrity
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Availability to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- This is a Seasonal Part-Time opportunity with possibility of extension to permanent hire
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The role is on-site in Los Angeles, CA
- Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time including maneuvering up and down stairs
- Ability to wear and utilize a radio and earpiece
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
