USDA AFRI Youth Workforce Development Grant Coordinator
Job description
Responsible for the day-to-day implementation and coordination of the USDA grant-funded “Empowering the Next Generation Ag & Food Systems Workforce via Experiential Learning, Engaging Diverse Youth & Enhanced PYD Programs” project. Manages and administering all aspects of the grant across the 12 North Central Extension Region (NCR) states. Assists the PI with overall grants management, interfacing with OSU’s Office of Sponsored Programs and college fiscal officers. Track budget expenditures and prepare budget reports, including monitoring of subawards and expenses related to grant implementation. Coordinate and provide logistics support for the project research and evaluation leads. Organize, coordinate and provide logistics support and accurate minutes and keep detailed records of project meetings, activities, and impacts to make compiling and completing reports accurate and efficient. Coordinate and facilitate information sharing among collaborating LGUs, including managing data according to the project data management plan and implementing a cloud-based file sharing system. Serve as primary project communications point of contact with YEA Coordinating Network (YEA-CN). Make travel arrangements, enter travel authorizations and expense reports for adult and youth OSU participants and those from other North Central Region collaborating LGUs who do not have a subaward. Coordinate and support the IRB review processes and reporting.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
This is a 5-year grant, reviewed and eligible for renewal each year.
