Caterpillar's US Drivetrain team is seeking new or recent grads looking to develop experience in manufacturing engineering, supply chain, order to delivery, and operations leadership within our drivetrain manufacturing facilities located in Central IL.

Caterpillar hires top talent — and this program is all about developing the next generation of Drivetrain business experts in our order to delivery (OTD) function. The purpose of the US Drivetrain OTD Rotational Program (KKORP) is to harness your ability and energy, developing you for a career in drivetrain manufacturing. We invest in you through training and development opportunities so that you may not only fulfill your personal career and development ambition, but provide excellent service to Caterpillar and especially, Caterpillar customers.

You will gain a wealth of experience while in the development program in roles focused on quality, manufacturing engineering, supply chain planning, logistics, operations supervision and more! KKORP offers you a broad exposure to Caterpillar’s Drivetrain business. You will be presented diverse project responsibilities, engaging you in global teams, cross-functional job experiences and valuable networking opportunities with all levels of Caterpillar leadership.

The KKORP program is a three-year rotational development program, consisting of three 1-year rotational assignments in the US Drivetrain team, based in the East Peoria and Mossville, IL area. Assignments vary by business need, providing on-the-job learning with challenging deliverables. You will work in various functional areas, gaining a broad understanding of both the Drivetrain business and customers. Upon completion of the three year program, KKORP graduates are placed in an assignment that continues to demand technical and leadership excellence gained through the program.

Those interested in joining the US Drivetrain Rotational Program in our Operations Leadership track must meet the following basic requirements for further consideration:

  • A current student, or recent grad, attending a 4-year accredited university/college earning a minimum Bachelors’ degree in one of the following degree programs: Agricultural Engineering | Electrical Engineering/Technology | Industrial Engineering/Technology | Manufacturing Systems | Manufacturing Engineering/Technology | Materials Science Engineering | Mechanical Engineering/Technology | Operations Management | Technical Systems Management

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8/4.0 scale

Top Candidates will also possess:

  • Previous relevant work experience or internship in manufacturing, supply chain or operations industry

  • Technically savvy

  • Leadership involvement in campus outreach, community service and/or extracurricular activities

  • Mechanical aptitude and hands on problem solving skills

  • Relevant coursework and/or projects

  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to exhibit critical thinking, analytical skills, and initiative

  • Demonstrated knowledge of order to delivery, engineering and/or manufacturing principles
