About this opportunity
We are looking for a creative, talented, and multi-disciplined UI/UX professional to join the Ericsson ICaaS team. Under the new technology innovation and incubation wing of Ericsson, the ICaaS organization operates as an internal start-up focusing on quickly delivering strategic business development projects and cutting-edge technologies for early adopter engagement and quick time-to-market.
This position is the key creative function for the ICaaS product’s user experience and user interface designs. The role is involved in the execution of all stages of UI/UX from concepting to engineering. As a domain expert in front-end UI/UX development, you will have the opportunity to lead the design of user experience for the next generation cellular network management software tools and realize their elegant and smooth user interfaces serving the cellular service operators and IT engineers.
What you will do
Researching user experiences and flows with our product management team and customers.
- Crafting the user experience for ICaaS products in collaboration with the product team.
- Producing storyboards and wireframe prototypes for the user experience.
- Defining and implementing innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Communicating designs to stakeholders and other departments.
- Leading the development of the user interface software realizing the user flow and experience designs.
- Leading the testing of user interfaces against user experience and flow designs.
- Leading the testing of user works with collaborating customers and external partners for iterative improvement.
You will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related major or a subject area in design or media, with 5+ years of Front-End user interface software development experience using a JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) in a professional capacity.
- 3+ years of UI/UX design experience and familiarity with UI/UX designing process and tools such as Adobe XD, Figma. Providing design portfolio is a plus.
- UI software development proficiencies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Non-coding software engineering skills: source control, unit testing, debugging, documentation, continuous integration, and build systems.
- GIS experience is a plus.
- 3D immersive design and development experience on platform such as Unity is a plus.
- Cross platform development using tools or framework (e.g., React Native) is a plus.
- Experience using generative AI design tool (e.g., Midjourney, DALL-E, Galileo) and prompt engineering (e.g., ChatGPT) is a plus.
- AR/VR experience is a plus.
This role reports to Head of BTEB One solutions.

Your Pay:
The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
- California: $144,700-$217,100
Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.
Your Health:
Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of 3 medical plan options, 2 of which are PPO plans requiring employee contributions to the cost of premiums, and a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with no premiums for employees and dependents. In addition, Ericsson offers free dental coverage, employee paid vision coverage, and other company paid physical wellness programs.
Your Financial Security:
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s 401(k) plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and up to a 4% company match, leading to a maximum company contribution of 7% annually. Employees will also receive company paid basic life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage and paid company short-term and long-term disability benefits. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time:
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided up to 40 days of paid time off per year, including 15 days of accrued annual vacation, 3 personal days, 11 paid holidays, 10 sick days, and 1 volunteer day. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Those with additional vacation time at the end of the year may sell one week of vacation, equal to a week of pay. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of maternity/medical leave, 6 weeks of paternity or adoption leave at 100% of pay, and medical leave at 100% or 66 2/3% of pay, based on length of service.
