Summary
The Transportation Supervisor oversees the administration of transportation services at the West Union location. The Transportation Supervisor is also responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the West Union dispatchers and drivers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Oversee the administration of transportation services at our West Union office.
2. Supervision of West Union dispatcher and drivers to maintain efficient transportation system.
3. Coordinate the delivery of transportation services in Adams County by developing and maintaining uniform scheduling system for all county transportation agencies.
4. Oversee accurate collection of all data necessary for reports needed by our contracted sources as well as for FRS Transportation.
5. Responsible for communication of all necessary information to all participating agencies concerning on-going transportation updates from our local Adams County Department of Job & Family Services.
6. Maintain FRS Transportation employee time sheets, documentation of employee oral discussions, written disciplinary notices and actions.
7. Oversee the daily operation of the West Union office of FRS Transportation.
8. Attend transportation related meetings, trainings and conferences that would be beneficial to improving transportation in Adams County.
9. Fill in as needed for Assistant Dispatcher or drivers as needed when they are on vacation, taking sick leave, or have any type of family emergency or other type of emergency situation.
10. Make sure West Union transportation staff follows all FRS Transportation company policies and procedures regarding vehicle and client safety as well as personnel policies and procedures.
11. Make sure all FRS Transportation West Union company vehicles are serviced every 5000 miles and sent in for repairs promptly as needed.
12. Work closely with the Director of Transportation to keep improving those services offered by FRS Transportation in Adams County and to work towards expanding transportation services in Adams County.
13. Handle any complaints from passengers, agencies, businesses or the general public concerning our transportation services in Adams County in a professional manner maintaining and promoting good public relations.
14. This is a five (5) day, forty (40) hour per week position with benefits.

Qualification/Requirements
Applicant must have a high school diploma with a college degree in business preferred. Ability to perform basic math is required. Leadership and supervisory skills are required. The ability to use a computer and have skills in software programs used in transportation is required. Excellent communication skills are required for both phone and face to face. Ability to handle multiple task is required.
Supervisory Responsibility
Supervises dispatcher and drivers at the West Union office.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or as agreed upon approved by Transportation Director. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Occasionally, this position may need to report to various FRS Transportation locations.
