SAPA Transmission in its growth in the U.S.A. is looking for a Mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair tracked vehicle transmissions for the US Army.

You as a mechanic will join to our Engineering Department and will be responsible for ensuring quality, functionality, reliability, and performance of our transmissions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
  • Inspect transmissions and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
  • Conduct repairs disassembling transmission unit and replacing broken or worn parts, such as seals, bearings, gears, and valves among other things.
  • Keep work area and all tools clean and organized.
  • Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, verifying receipt.
  • Keep logs of work and report on issues.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g., perform maintenance tasks, fill transmissions and other equipment with specified fluids, load/unload truck, etc.)

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a mechanic.
  • Basic knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, electrical, and other systems.
  • Aptitude in using hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.), precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and diagnostic equipment (pressure sensors, multimeter, power supply units, etc.).
  • Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints, etc.
  • Proactive attitude towards work, teamwork, and cooperation.
  • Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Availability for limited travel.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $26.50 per hour
