Description
Our Customer, Great River Energy is looking for a contractor for the position of Transmission Business Relations representative to work at their Maple Grove headquarters. The term of the assignment is 12 months. The responsibilities are to work with investor owned utilities, municipalities and other wholesale transmission providers to:

30% Agreement development & administration

• Develop and administer Transmission-to-Load & Transmission-to-Transmission Agreements
• Develop and administer Operation & Maintenance Agreements
• Develop/process Non-Disclosure Agreements

35% Inter-utility interface

• Interface with aforementioned utilities as GRE’ Transmission Business Relations representative in inter-utility meetings for:
• Great River Energy interconnection requests to other transmission owners
• Interconnection requests to Great River Energy’s transmission system
• Dispute resolution / ownership solutions
• Administration of existing agreements

35% Internal interface and contract administration

• Interface with Great River Energy’s Engineering, Project Management Office, System Operations and Transmission Planning areas for the development and administration of transmission agreements
• Associated administration of transmission agreements in GRE’s contract management systems

Education / experience requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or legal studies plus two or more years of experience working in the electric utility industry
• Preferred to have exposure with contract development, regulatory policies and transmission tariffs
