Job Functions / Responsibilities

Must be self-motivated, well organized, flexible and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation with a high sense of urgency.

• Schedule, expedite, and monitor shipments for inbound and outbound material.
• Maintain record retention according to PACCAR Company Policy.
• Prepare export shipments within SAP
• Maintain accurate tracking information / reporting
• Ability to make balanced business decisions with regard to freight routing.
• Communicates with freight carriers to coordinate shipping lanes and activities.
• Files freight claims for loss or damage with carriers
• Evaluates carrier routes and alternative carriers as needed.
• HazMat trained and shipment document preparation
• Periodic travel for training required.
• Preparation and submission of Customs Export Documents
• Ability to work a flexible schedule – hours may vary on occasion in order to support production requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
• Traffic experience preferred, but not required.
• Organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical skills required
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Customer service oriented
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with the internet
• Must be able to multi-task
• Candidate must be able to operate independently and with little to no guidance.
• Must be a positive contributor to a team environment.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
