Overview:
PCSI is looking for a Tractor Operator at Schriever Space Force Base! The Tractor Operator is responsible for operating tractor equipment in a safe and appropriate manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life. This position will report to the Project Manager and is based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. Typical work hours will be 7:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday – Friday – flexible schedules due to snow events. Base Pay is $18.47/hr. What You'll Do as Tractor Operator:
- Responsible for operating tractor equipment in a safe and appropriate manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life.
- Equipment may include front-end loaders, batwing mowers, brush hog and other mowing features.
- Identify and report any complaints to management in a timely manner.
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
- Clean equipment as scheduled and or required.
- Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored.
- Advise the Supervisor or Manager of any requirements for maintenance and repairs.
- Continuously practice workplace safety.
- Able to read and understand maps.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one year of experience in landscaping and operating tractor equipment and mowing implements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Self-starter and ability to work with minimal direction and supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass criminal, drug, financial, and driving screening.
- Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, lift move and carry materials and supplies weighing up to 60lbs and push up to 100lbs, prolonged standing and walking.
- Finger dexterity is required to operate equipment.
- Working in an outdoor area exposed to extreme heat, cold, dust, noise, and vibration.
- Pay attention to surroundings and equipment that may pose a risk or harmful situation.
- Exposure to dirt, pollen, chemicals, insects, and snakes.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, overtime, and holidays.
- Acquire and maintain security clearance.
