Tool Room Technician
Job description
The Tool Room Technician is primarily responsible for the overall management of the company tool assets (diagnostics, adjustments and repairs). Ensures organization of development, performance and maintenance of the tool room. Balances stock control versus budgetary constraints to produce an efficient system to maximize performance while minimizing downtime. The Tool Room Technician will also perform tasks involving physical labor at the company plumbing & heating warehouse as needed.
*This position is currently located in Bozeman but will transition to our new warehouse in Belgrade in late Spring/early Summer*
What You'll Do:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance; clean, lubricate, adjust parts, equipment, machinery, dissembling and reassembling to repair and achieve optimal performance.
- Follow process for check-out and check-in tool assets to authorized employees. Ensure tools checked out have the appropriate training to use specialty equipment safely and effectively.
- Jobsite tool audit, to verify assets are in working order and are accounted for.
- Track utilization of assets to make logical asset acquisitions.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and inventory of the tool room space. Eliminate potential hazards and protect company assets.
What You Bring:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain quality relationships with employees, customers, and vendors.
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in commercial plumbing & heating warehouse.
- Troubleshooting to determine causes of operating errors and determining what to do about it.
- Exceptional organization skills relating to physical spaces as well as record-keeping to track who has what assets where.
- Experience and knowledge with advanced tool repair preferred.
- Muss possess a valid driver’s license with an appropriate safe driving history.
