Job purpose

The general focus of this position is to ?Get the Order? as a results-driven sales representative. Candidate will actively seek out and engage customer prospects through telephone, personal visits, social media and cold calling to build personal relationships designed to improve sales penetration into a given territory.

The successful salesperson will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, identifying and qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services. As an outside sales representative, they will also research sales competition. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

Duties and responsibilities

The primary job duties and responsibilities are included but not limited to:

  • ?Get the Order? using various customer sales methods including:
    • Cold Calling, Social Media, Telephone and Trade shows & Conferences
  • Meet personal and team sales goals.
  • Maintain and expand CRM system for accuracy in your territory.
  • Attend customer meetings, conferences and trade shows to develop sales leads.
  • Devise successful sales & marketing strategies for your territory.
  • Present products or services to prospective and current customers.
  • Evaluate customer needs and wants to build long term sales relationships.
  • Assist customers from all territories and be available to evaluate issues.
  • Manage local inventory and process control for equipment sales.
  • Monitor and document competition within assigned area and report findings.
  • Create, control, revise and send in accurate orders and spec?s as dictated by customers.
  • Addition duties as necessary to support the sales department as a whole.
  • Think outside of the existing process to improve flow and accuracy of orders.
  • Any additional duties that may become part of the order process.

Qualifications

Qualifications will include but not limited to:

  • Proven track record in sales
  • Working knowledge of company CRM system & logging contacts (call reports) as they occur.
  • Ability to manage large database of options & accounts.
  • Knowledge of MS Office environment to produce reports for sales managers
  • Extensive working knowledge of products and specifications
  • Extensive knowledge of sales T.O.E.S. order system
  • Sales skills and customer follow up
  • Time management skills required to balance and prioritize work given the time constraints that exist.
  • Overnight travel required-40-60% (multiple days in a row)
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Good attitude with fellow employees & customers

Working conditions

  • Primarily office working conditions but outside equipment sales & delivery in various weather conditions. Some evening & weekend duty as required for customer relationships.

  • General health conditions that enable employee to work a consistent schedule during the day.
