WHAT TO EXPECT

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. You will be working remotely out of your home office and will be responsible for traveling to and selling Gates products throughout Oklahoma and the surrounding states, with a majority of customers being located in the greater Oklahoma City area. You will be responsible for selling automotive products including belts, hoses, timing belts, and water pumps, to name just a few.
  • You'll research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner to determine market strategies and goals for each product and service.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments and that effect target markets.
  • Effectively communicate with the customer to ensure sales opportunities for products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Taking responsibility for and making every effort to resolve communication, trust and respect concerns and problems.
  • Implementing distribution strategies to accelerate growth of new and additional products and/or new markets.
  • Monitoring competitive environment to identify opportunities and countermeasures to address competition.



ABOUT YOU

  • 2+ years of progressive sales experience
  • High school diploma
  • Must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excel comprehension is very important to this position.
  • Travel required within the given territory for this position is 50% - 70%
    • Most nights are at home but 20 - 25% of your traveling will be spent overnight
  • Ability to work flexible hours and locations depending on position and travel requirements
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

PREFERRED:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree
  • Oracle Sales Cloud experience strongly preferred
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Equivalent industry experience with strong mechanical aptitude
  • Passion for or willingness to learn about the automotive industry

PAY & BENEFITS

  • Full-Time
  • Salary + Commission Eligible: Sales Incentive Plan (SIP)
  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire
  • Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued.
  • 401(k): 3% company contribution and additional 3% company match
  • Tuition Reimbursement
