Description:
. Sales Responsibility for products of the BU Melting & Casting Technology
. Strategic Development of the Business Unit. Positioning of the Business Unit as leading supplier of mold technology and casting molds
. Close cooperation with major, long lasting North American customers to develop new business
. Excellent collaboration with peers, cross BU/Divisional Resources
Responsibilities:
All commercial sales activities as related to the OEM supply of casting molds
within the U.S. and Canadian market along with technical support and follow up of various tests and trials
of the same. Casting molds in the area of continuous slab casting, thin slab casting, billet, bloom & beam
blank casting, copper crucibles, casting wheels and copper sleeves.
Work Scope:
1. Job quoting
a. RFQ from customer
b. Drawing review
c. Review request with Osnabruck (mill)
d. Submit offer to customer
e. Follow up and negotiate
f. Document offer on Inquiry / Order Status log
2. Order entry
a. PO received
b. Review for accuracy & send to mill
c. Enter PO information on Order log
d. Review and submit order confirmation to customer
3. Order tracking / Status
a. Update customer status report
b. Advise customer of order status and delays
c. Communicate with Osnabruck customer delivery expectation and shipping requirements
4. Shipment tracking
a. Review mill supplied shipping documents
b. Submit shipping packing lists and material certifications to customer
c. Advise freight forwarder of customer delivery requirements
d. Coordinate between forwarder and customer delivery schedules
5. Follow up on trials and tests
a. Maintain documented log of customer copper trials
b. Communicate with Osnabruck status and results of mold copper trials
6. Other
a. Submit name and/or banking change documents to customer
b. Complete necessary customer documents for vendor set up or account revision
c. Coordinate with Cuprum, mold tube copper shipments in and out of Spain for reforming
d. Manage mold tube design/modification projects between Osnabruck / Cuprum & customer
e. Visit customers and submit trip reports

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
. Impressive Techno/commercial profile, ideally strong industrial engineering experience.
. Strong customer- and service orientation, experience and knowledge of product sales strategies and service strategies
. Capability to develop new sales concepts, e.g. OEM/SPARE supplies combined with local services, or pay-per-use-models.
. Industry know-how from steel or comparable materials industry, continuous casting industry. Ideally, experience in continuous casting technology and steel plants
. Entrepreneurial mindset with strong sales experience and profound technical knowledge from the casting industry and customer specific products
