Job description
Position Summary
Reporting and working directly with the PI, candidate will perform standard biomedical laboratory procedures, basic statistics on experimental data, and present experimental analysis of data to the PI. Knowledge of basic engineering and biological terminology and techniques is essential, as are good writing skills.
Responsibilities
- Work with cell culture, tissue staining and testing of small tissue samples, small animal models for in vivo or in vitro experiments.
- Perform general maintenance on laboratory equipment
- Maintain laboratory records in accordance with experimental protocols
- Assist with day-to-day operations and performing other duties necessary to the functioning of the laboratory.
- Assist in the writing and submission of research manuscripts
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis on chemistry, biology, physics, or related science or equivalent in education, training, and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Applicants with previous experience in imaging techniques and biomechanical testing preferred. Working knowledge of C++, LabVIEW, and Matlab is desirable.
