JOB DESCRIPTION
- FULL-TIME

Represents the Concierge department at the LRC Concierge desk and other Concierge desks as needed. Serves as primary point of contact for computer system users calling into the Service Desk line. Answers inquiries and resolves reported Tier 1 problems that can be addressed without a physical site visit. Forwards issues outside of responsibility or expertise to appropriate department individuals. Remains knowledgeable about planned and unplanned system outages for the purpose of providing status communication to those seeking an update. Provides assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems. Assist with student Fitbit and other IT questions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate Concierge Desk on LRC – greets and assists students, functions as first point of contact for students and visitors, offers great customer service, facilitates necessary connections, assists students with inquiries and directions. Learn Banner, Salesforce, RMS and other software as required.
  • Answers Tier 1 inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operations. Configures hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
  • Performs Tier 1 repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
  • Provides assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems
  • Gives FitBit assistance to students as requested.
  • Enters maintenance work orders in Maximo, Sodexo’s work order system.
  • Assist at other Concierge locations and events as requested by Executive Director and other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS


EDUCATION:
4 year degree in a technology field



WORK EXPERIENCE:
Requires six months related work experience OR equivalent technical school training.
Proficiency in Windows and MS Office products required. Experience with Novell or MS Outlook, and remote desktop products required. Experience with Mac OS and desktop imaging tools preferred. Banner, RMS, Salesforce and other ORU software knowledge experience.
