What You Do

The Talent Recruitment Specialist will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. This role will be based out of Redstone Harley-Davidson located in Huntsville, AL. This role will report directly to the Director of Dealer Development with indirect reporting and working closely with the COO.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Talent Management and Acquisition and Administrative Support.
  • Will work closely with Dealer Development and Human Resource (HR) Teams with a dedicated support team.

As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:

  • Responsible for identifying, sourcing, and hiring top talent for an organization.
  • Leadership example complying with the Company’s Mission, Vision, and Culture.
  • Continuous development, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment processes including developing training, initiatives, and surveys to support the Company’s compliance and growth strategy to improve employee retention and engagement and to position the Company as an Employer of choice.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Assists with job posting and advertising processes.
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Video recording interviews for top candidates.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with leadership, managers, directors, and other internal and external stakeholders (i.e. Recruiters)
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Onboarding new hires, as required. Prepare agenda and coordinate meetings.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • May be required to coordinate or attend and participate in onsite dealership or community career fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Will be required to prepare and present HR processes and procedures to the leadership team throughout the year.
  • Work closely with the leadership team supporting their hiring initiatives.
  • Familiar with and ongoing updates to HR processes and Company Handbook, as needed.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends if business dictates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Experience defining and developing new programs, tools and processes in support of recruiting needs in a high-growth environment
  • Experience in recruiting and hiring processes
  • Excellent communications skills – written & verbal - with a global and diverse audience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a plan in support of a broad set of goals; can manage multiple priorities in a highly dynamic environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Decision making ability when required.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products and Google Applications.
  • Knowledgeable in Social Media platforms used during candidate recruitment and promotion of job opportunities
  • Experience with HRIS platforms

What Will Set You Apart

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • At least five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is highly preferred.
  • Problem solving skills with business acumen and desire to build relationships as a trusted advisor.
  • Proven results driving social media campaigns around talent brands (ie: LinkedIn; Glassdoor; Indeed; among social media job boards).
  • Website or Marketing experience is a plus.
  • Project Management is a plus.

Company Travel

  • Willingness to travel when necessary (5-10%), as needed, for onboarding new hires, meetings, and other related activities.
  • Abide by the Company’s Travel and Expense Policy
