About this role
The Talent Practices team is responsible for the design and delivery of BlackRock's talent management processes, including performance management, promotions, talent reviews and succession planning.
Job Purpose/Background
This role partners and collaborates with HR Business Partners, Jr Business Partners, DEI team, Business Leaders and other key partners to inform and support the design and implementation of the firm's talent practices.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Act as an internal consultant to establish and execute talent practices that aligns with our overall talent & diversity agenda and drive the best talent decisions to support the growth of the business
- Lead the execution of each talent process by setting and tracking deadlines and deliverables with all key partners
- Develop toolkits, materials and resources that support managers and employees
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to ensure they feel well prepared and supported to help execute the firm-wide talent practices across all functions and regions
- Build and drive communications plans including writing corporate communications, crafting presentation materials, user guides, and talking points for senior leaders
- Partner closely with the platform and analytics team to design and refine HR systems that best support the goals of our talent processes and center on creating an excellent user experience
- Contribute to strategic process improvement initiatives
- Leverage and Analyze data related to talent practices to track progress and efficiency
- Collaborate closely with the Global Talent Practices team members to ensure they feel supported to drive our talent practices locally while taking into account regional nuances
- Participate in ad hoc projects across talent management as needed
Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience
- Experience in performance management, talent reviews, promotions, development and career planning, succession planning, organization design, project management, a plus
- Strong presentation and slide design skills. Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Facilitation skills, a plus
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to analyze and interpret data
- Able to navigate through ambiguity; flexible and adaptable to change; resourceful
- Able to foster relationships and manage stakeholders
- Strong teammate who enjoys working in a fast-paced, changing, global environment
- Prior experience in graphic design, a plus
- Minimum bachelor’s degree

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $76,000 – $90,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
