The Team:
The Talent Development, HR team seeks to champion Hermès culture and values by designing and implementing Internal Communication, Learning & Development, Diversity Equity & Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility strategies focused on educating, motivating, and engaging our diverse Hermès of Paris family.
The Opportunity:
The Talent Development, HR team (United States) is seeking a Talent Development Specialist. In this role, you will serve as the logistics center of the Talent Development team, partnering on Learning & Development, Corporate Social Responsibility, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, Internal Communication and Employee Engagement initiatives. By providing operational and administrative support to ensure Talent Development projects and trainings are seamlessly executed, you will contribute to nurturing and continually improving Hermès culture and the employee experience for corporate, retail and service center employees.
About the Role:
- Organizes the new hire onboarding and virtual orientation programs
- Collaborates closely on Corporate Social Responsibility activities, and managing vendor/donation paperwork and organization
- Liaises with local and international partners to execute training and employee enrichment initiatives
- Reviews, processes, and records all team invoices and budget allocations
- Tracks, reports, and evaluates training, enrichment and engagement programs for participation and effectiveness
- Coordinates L&D, CSR, Diversity, and employee engagement event rosters, invitations, travel schedule and hotel accommodations for all attending participants
- Prepares Talent Development event venue organization, and participant communications, and maintains a consistent feedback loop throughout the participants' experience, i.e., invitations, follow-up, reminders, evaluations, etc.
- Coordinates and supports engagement calendar, including virtual events, as well as posting and maintaining resources on the company’s intranet
- Oversee the Hermès of Paris internship program, mentorship program, Employee Suggestion Box, and the Employee Emergency Relief Program
- Partners as HR communicator for cross-functional NYC office move project in 2023, including change management, HR support, and NY employee experience programming post-move
- Serves as lead for emergency communication management via OnSolve SendWordNow
The Talent Development Specialist is based in the New York corporate office and reports to the Vice President, Talent Development, HR.

- Effective communicator with strong written and presentation skills
- Ability to establish cross-functional partnerships and effectively influence individuals at all levels and functions within the organization
- Project management skills with an ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as an active team player
- Recognizes the value that diverse perspectives and identities bring to an organization and actively seeks to understand and empower these perspectives
- Willingness to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with positivity, energy and enthusiasm
- Technologically adept and proficient in Microsoft 365 programs
- Ability to travel 30% of time, dedicated to implementing employee training, CSR and engagement activities, and may include occasional weekend hours
The range for this position is $63,760.00 - $95,640.00. Actual rates are determined based on the job, location, and individual experience.
