Ryerson is looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to lead our talent strategies for the South Region. The incumbent will partner with hiring managers to develop and execute sourcing and recruiting strategies to attract top talent and assist with onboarding efforts.

Roles and responsibilities:
- This is a full cycle recruiter position. You will be involved in all aspects of attraction, selection, and screening of top talent for the South Region.
- You will lead the development and execution of pipeline talent strategies and partner with hiring managers to develop and execute sourcing and recruiting strategies to attract top talent.
- Develop and/or maintain relationships with new and existing vendors and business partners (i.e. search firms, colleges, employment agencies and consultants) as needed to recruit excellent talent to our team.
- Continually reviews recruiting processes for effectiveness and revises as necessary.
- Main point of contact for hiring managers and external customers, such as background check vendors.
- Review, edit and enter all new positions into the company’s applicant tracking system, PeopleFluent, including conducting intake calls with hiring managers to determine position requirements and job specific objectives.
- Serve as the administrator of the application tracking system for the North Region. Compile talent acquisition statistical reports for management.
- Post, review, and maintain all open positions internally and externally.
- Conduct initial screen of candidates and make recommendations. Coordinate interview schedules with candidates and interview teams.
- Prepare and distribute offer letters to hiring managers and candidates.
- Review candidate background check, education, pre-employment physical and drug screen results to ensure compliance with company policies. Engage hiring managers and communicate with candidates as needed.
- Ensure that Ryerson is professionally presented at various career fairs with Ryerson brochures, banners, and promotional items.
- Present yourself as a brand ambassador for Ryerson, as well as working with our marketing team on expanding our social media presence as a means to attract top talent to all positions at Ryerson.
- Search resume databases and available job boards to identify qualified candidates.
- Assist with onboarding training, document completion and record retention.
Position Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience supporting full cycle recruiting/ talent acquisition.
- Must possess a general understanding of talent acquisition and of human resources policies, procedures and practices, and employment-related compliance (EEO, ADA, etc.).
- High level of time management and organizational skills along with the ability to multi-task effectively.
- Professionalism is required when dealing with sensitive and confidential information and documents, high degree of business ethics and confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as this individual will interact with all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills, keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with MS Office and high technical aptitude for learning new systems.
- Prior experience maintaining talent acquisition platforms (PeopleFluent an asset), internet recruiting and using people-sourcing techniques.
- Experience using professional job boards and social networks.
- Must be willing to travel (10%).
