Essential Functions:

• With supervision, install, test, maintain, and upgrade desktop, server, and/or network operating systems software and hardware to comply with Information Assurance (IA) requirements
• Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques
• Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops, servers, switches, and hypervisors)
• Demonstrate proficiency in applying security requirements to an operating system for the network or computing environment (desktop and servers) used in their current position
• Provides software and system troubleshooting and support. Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software IA problems pertaining to the Network Environment
• Ensure that hardware, software, data, and facility resources are archived, sanitized, or disposed of in a manner consistent with system security plans and requirement
• Ensure that server operating systems are maintained at the versions dictated by the Customer.
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
• With supervision, may be required to assist in configuring, optimizing, and testing network servers, hubs, routers, and switches to ensure they comply with security policy, procedures, and technical requirements
• Identify IA vulnerabilities resulting from a departure from the implementation plan or that were not apparent during testing
• Provides technical support and training to end-users
• Participates in special projects as required by E2E Systems Engineer or Network Engineer

Requirements:

• Active Secret Clearance (Required)
• Must possess a valid State Driver's License and maintain Post driving privileges2 v dsa
• Applicant will possess at a minimum one of the following DoD 8570 IAT-II Baseline Certifications (Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP) (Required)
• Windows Server 2012 R2/2016/2019, Windows 10, VMWare, Active Directory, Hyper-V Server, RedHat Linux 6/7/8, HBSS (McAfee ePO), ACAS, Splunk, SCAP, Cisco IOS
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills for interfacing with military and civilian personnel

Education:

• Related AA degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications/training, or work experience

Desired Experience in one of the following:

• Training Systems: Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) Multi Resolution Federate (MRF), War Fighters Simulation (WARSIM), Live Virtual Constructive Integrating Architecture (LVC-IA) components
• Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS): Tactical Mission Command servers (TMC), Command Post Computing environment (CPCE), Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Enterprise Services, WAVE.
• Cisco Components: ASA Firewalls, Edge Routers, Access Switches

Working Conditions: inside office on Government site

Required Travel: Minimal
