JOB SCOPE
Responsible for development and implementation efforts supporting enterprise-wide projects and initiatives. Responsible for planning, lab installation, and staging of compute/video/voice/network equipment. Responsible for receiving, inspecting, validating, and documenting the re-inventory of MSO equipment as part of company cost avoidance efforts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Contributes to planning sessions with various vertical engineering and project management groups
  • Reviews existing integration capabilities, data sources, and proposed solution designs for feasibility, cost and functionality.
  • Works with deployment engineering groups to configure, tune, update and maintain detailed staging and testing procedures. Documents systems configurations and upgrades.
  • Creates work effort estimates for assigned tasks and support prioritization and fulfillment.
  • Develops and maintains detailed configuration documents on a wide range of vendor platforms and platform variations.
  • Installs, administers, configures and maintains lab infrastructure including operating systems and related software.
  • Proactively communicates with team/leaders/stakeholders on delivery and fulfillment successes and risks.
  • Partners with Materials inventory and warehouse teams on processing and validating reclaimed equipment as part of the company's reuse and cost avoidance initiative.
  • Unpack, inspect, test, and document the validation of video, voice, compute, and network equipment and materials.
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

BASIC/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Demonstrated in-depth ability to conduct planning sessions to specify designs for implementation feasibility and efficiency
  • Demonstrated in-depth ability to create detailed documentation to functionally understand new and existing platforms
  • Demonstrated in-depth ability to follow and implement established lab and configuration procedures
  • Demonstrated in-depth ability to troubleshoot application and hardware problems
  • Demonstrated ability to learn development tools, application frameworks, and testing tools
  • Demonstrated ability to learn vendor applications and software
  • Ability to use networking/telecommunications tool
Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience; May require Industry Standard Certifications

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
  • Experience configuring/managing and troubleshooting server and workstation operating systems – 3
  • Experience remotely configuring/managing and troubleshooting network hardware – 3
  • Experience configuring/managing and troubleshooting standard TCP/IP applications, protocols, and services – 3

Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years
  • Hardware installation in Data Center type environment 2+
  • Data Center device powering experience (AC/DC) 1+
  • Programming/Scripting experience (bash, python, php) 2+
  • Linux systems administration experience 3+
  • Database experience 1+
  • SOHO network experience 2+

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Mixed Office, Data Center Lab, and Warehouse Environments (may require use of safety equipment)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • May lift up to 50lbs with or without assistance

The pay for this position has a salary range of $75,200.00 to $120,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
