The Systems Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software and systems management tools while ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in many facets of a seasoned Systems Engineer Expert.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an advocate for technical and business innovation by recommending and implementing technical solutions designed to provide a competitive advantage.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements and assists in the development of business cases.
  • Manage assigned projects according to the IT project management methodology, procedures, and processes to drive successful outcomes for the organization.
  • Verify stability, interoperability, portability, scalability and/or security of architecture components.
  • Ability to create and maintain business and system process documentation, technical specifications, system testing and documenting test results, and quality assurance of production system changes.
  • Prepare estimations of the costs of system solutions and prepare project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
  • Have the capability to evaluate and assess business and user needs and suggest a technology that meets the requirements and is compatible with existing systems.
  • Define appropriate key indicators that aim to improve or maintain the overall environment performance such that it ensures performance and availability meet or exceed established service level standards.
  • Identify concerns and/or anomalies and make appropriate accommodations and /or escalate to the appropriate resource.
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships for infrastructure related services.
  • Collaborate with external vendors responsible for various applications and solutions within our operating environments.
  • Create and maintain system documentation required for running the operational portion of the infrastructure environment.
  • Collaborate with other strategic teams to resolve problems and take appropriate corrective action(s) to ensure systems are operating correctly and within established operational and functional SLA’s.
  • Provide engineering level support of the Delta Media infrastructure required to run daily operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in electronic engineering, mathematics, computer science or related field with 5+ years of experience.
  • Candidates should be process oriented yet innovative, self-starting, hands-on technology professionals that are able to work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills, presentation, and negotiation skills for communication with all levels of the organization.
  • Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of the following system process / components:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
