Ultradent, the global name in oral health, is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our growing IT Infrastructure team. The Systems Administrator is a hybrid of remote work and in office work at Ultradent headquarters in South Jordan, UT.
The Systems Administrator will provide day-to-day administration, operation, and maintenance of systems and associated networks. Successful applicants will work well in a team environment and possess superior attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Develop strategy to manage and maintain a current server environment

Install and configure client/server applications
-
Evaluate new technologies and develop recommendations in support of a forward-looking IT strategy.

Recommend, plan, and implement infrastructure and application enhancements.

Perform system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of IT Infrastructure, systems and processes
-
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents and requests for support.
-
Determine root causes of problems and recommend strategies to prevent recurrences.
-
Keep firmware, operating system, and application patch levels up to date.

Adhere to Change/Configuration Management procedures and policies
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
-
5+ years of system administration experience working in a corporate environment supporting Microsoft technologies showing increased responsibility and achievement is ideal
-
Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies and applications
-
IT Training and Certifications
-
ITIL Training and Certification
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
-
In depth knowledge of Client/Server application concepts and environments.
-
Proven ability to evaluate system specifications, input and output processes, and working parameters for hardware and software compatibility
-
Experience recommending and implementing automated approaches to system administration
-
Experience developing or maintaining storage policy and procedures governing data backup, archival and recovery
-
Experience with SAN technologies such as NetAPP or Nimble
-
Active Directory, Group Policy management, SSO (LDAP, SAML).

Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages
-
In depth knowledge of VMWare and virtualization concepts
-
In depth understanding of networking concepts: DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NTP, TCP/IP, FTP, Firewalls.

Exceptional troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of security best practices for server administration.

Familiarity with database administration, including SQL Server
-
Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies and applications

Ability to work independently
-
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
