Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, NC is seeking a Full-Time experienced
Sushi Cook for our renowned Red Fox Restaurant. We are a privately owned and operated country club nestled inside Preston, a premier residential community located in the heart of Cary, NC. This is a great opportunity to be a part of our award-winning Culinary team!

Our Sushi Cook will prepare sushi rolls and dishes from our membership. Our ideal candidate is comfortable with a variety of sushi rolling, plating, and related cooking techniques and has experience working in a busy sushi restaurant. Advanced knife-cutting skills are a must. We expect our sushi cooks to be friendly and interact with members, providing recommendations on different dishes when requested.

Position requirements include, but are not limited to the following:
- Help create a rich sushi menu with various main ingredients and raw fish (for example, salmon, tuna, unagi)
- Prepare all types of sushi
- Select fresh fruits and vegetables to make high-quality dishes (like avocado, mango and carrots)
- Add additional flavors to sushi rolls with ginger, rice vinegar, wasabi and soy sauce, when appropriate
- Manage food prep activities, like boiling rice
- Coordinate with our wait staff to ensure proper cooking, considering special requests and food allergies
- Prepare appetizers, soups and salads that are close to the philosophy of Japanese cuisine
- Maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and clean your space at the end of the shift
