Job description

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Land Surveyor/Project Manager in Austin, Texas. We are currently searching for a candidate with excellent technical experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment on major commercial projects. Must be self-motivated and require little to no supervision.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure project requirements are met in the office & the field
  • Process field survey data, perform computations, and analysis under the guidance of a Registered

Professional Land Surveyor, and perform CAD work from start to finish using specific layering standards as required by governmental entities.

  • Provide field support as needed
  • Perform initial Quality Control of field deliverables
  • Perform Quality Control checks on-site • Daily processing of survey data, including evaluating accuracy and sufficiency, & ensuring compliance to our Surveying standards.
  • Perform deed research, deed plotting & map checks
  • Prepare survey plats and drawings, legal descriptions, easements, right-of-way strip maps

Desired Qualifications

  • 10+ years of design/topo/tree/residential survey drafting experience
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and proficiency in Civil 3D.
  • Survey field background
  • Survey research related to chains of title, rights-of-way, and utilities
  • High School Graduate or higher
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid Driver's License
  • Surveying coursework, CST, SIT or RPLS preferred (not required)
