Job Description

• Perform a broad range of duties on a survey crew such as:
• Clearing brush
• Carrying stakes and equipment
• Locating monuments
• Holding level rod, setting stakes
• Measuring distances
• Taking notes
• Making computations
• Basic drafting
• Other technically related specialties

• Maintains equipment and vehicles used by survey crew.
• Utilize computer software programs to complete certain duties.
• Must perform duties in a safe, professional, and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the road commission for Oakland County.
• Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.
• Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.

Special Experience/Education
This position requires:

• A high school diploma or equivalent with training sufficient to perform calculations and maintain records related to the work described above.
• A valid Michigan Driver’s License.
