Your Role:
The Support Specialist role performs general cleaning tasks in assigned areas. Ensures equipment is clean and ready for use by others within the department. Stocks supplies and maintains appropriate inventory levels. Interacts with visitors and staff in a friendly, professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleans Assigned Area(s).
- Cleans assigned areas including equipment according to established procedures.
- Removes soiled items and/or empties waste.
- Uses chemicals and supplies appropriately.
- Maintains Appropriate Inventory/Equipment Levels
- Stocks assigned areas with appropriate levels of supplies.
- Notifies supervisor of any maintenance or inventory needs.
- Customer Service
- Greets visitors cheerfully and offers assistance when needed.
- Interfaces with other staff in a friendly, professional manner.

Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is one of the nation's leading children's hospitals. We treat and help prevent all health issues ranging from colds and broken bones to heart disease and cancer.

- Occasional: Noise: May include exposure to occupational noise levels which equal or exceed an 8-hr time-weighted average of 85 decibels, requiring enrollment in VUMC's Hearing Conservation Program which includes training, use of hearing protection, and periodic audiometry.
