Purpose/Introduction
The Commercial Organization plays a key role in developing and executing CPChem’s strategy and business plans. Commercial coordinates with Manufacturing and Technology to develop optimal sales and operating plans, grow our asset capabilities and plan for the future. They identify and evaluate business opportunities, execute the supply chain, build customer and supplier relationships and work to continuously improve our offerings to provide increased value for our customers and shareholders.
This position will be responsible for the forecasting and planning of NAO inventory movements, storage, replenishments, and tolling. In addition to forecasting and planning activities, this position will be responsible CFS coordination of NAO and PAO service-related complaints, working with the PAO Supply Chain Specialist on the NAO PAO Operations Excellence program, and drive and mange PBD for the NAO business. The successful candidate will work closely with NAO Product Managers, Customer Service, Account Managers, Operations and Materials Handling to facilitate NAO Supply Chain efficiencies and increase customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Management
- Inventory Management by Product/Fraction at the Plants, Terminal, and Warehouse
- Monitor and oversee plant tank inventories – Days to Full (DTF).
- Responsible for monitoring inventory targets and DSI for each tank at the terminals.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining inventory targets for packaging and warehousing.
- Drums, bags, Super Sacks, Intermodal Bulk Containers (IBC)
- Inventory Management by Product/Fraction at the Plants, Terminal, and Warehouse
- Tankcar Management
- Monitor tankcar turns identifying potential issues.
- Utilize Rail Fleet reports and understand tankcar needs.
- Identify aging cars at customer locations.
- Responsible for overseeing Terminal Railcar activity (Turns and Storage)
- Detention Billing
- Monitor tankcar turns identifying potential issues.
- 3rd Party Toller Forecasting, Planning & Optimization
- 3rd Party Toller planning and scheduling based on forecast
- Responsible for Pastillation planning of NAO wax products.
- Responsible for Isomerization planning of NAO mid Fractions - Demand Planning and Forecasting.
- Responsible for onboarding of any new Tollers.

- NAO/PAO Customer Feedback System Coordinator (CFS)
- Nexus of communication for NAO/PAO service related CFS complaints
- Responsible for assigning CFS complaints to Assignees and Closers.
- Responsible for maintaining and disseminating CFS key metrics.
- Managing process – identifying common issues and solutions.
- Nexus of communication for NAO/PAO service related CFS complaints
- NAO/PAO Operational Excellence (OE)
- Work alongside PAO Supply Chain to facilitate Processes and Procedure for the NAO/PAO Business Group.
- Responsible for organizing OE self-review process
- Lead the group to maintain OE work processes to ensure compliance.
- Facilitate regular OE team meetings
- Member of the Operational Excellence Product Line Deployment Team (OEPLDT)
- Work alongside PAO Supply Chain to facilitate Processes and Procedure for the NAO/PAO Business Group.
- NAO/PAO Sampling - Octochem- 3rd Party Sampling
- Manage samples, Inventory and billing for all NAO samples and work as back up for PAO Supply Chain Specialist.
- Process Improvement
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
- NAO/PAO Supply Chain Liaison
- Serve as point of contact for NAO/PAO Supply Chain related improvement opportunities
- Tank-Terminal, Packaging, Warehousing, Inspection Service Providers, Trucking/movements, Barge Providers/ movements, Marine Providers/ movements
- Serve as point of contact for NAO/PAO Supply Chain related improvement opportunities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or Science related fields
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations, engineering, production planning, logistics, or supply chain
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent excel and data modeling skills
- Strong process improvement focus and problem-solving skills
- A high capability for self-management/self-initiative
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (SAP APO) experience
- NAO/PAO business knowledge and experience
- Supply Chain experience in Chemical transportation & terminal operations
