Manage all aspects of the Supply Chain Warehousing and Logistics operation. Directly responsible for managing the Warehouse personnel, all warehouse technology/systems across the territory and all logistics operations related to Parts. Provides support to all warehouse operations including racking/shelving layouts, warehouse setup and process flow. Provide leadership and vision for the people in alignment with the department and corporate mission and objectives. Increase client satisfaction at continually lower real costs.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the Central Warehouse operations to ensure all are effective and efficient.
  • Recommend and assist in implementation of the warehouse and supply chain processes, technology, and systems. Ensure consistent parts storage, picking, packing and efficient delivery of items across the Empire network.
  • Provide project support as needed across the territory, including projects such as new layout and design, racking/shelving additions or movement and new technology implementation.
  • Support logistics and freight operations across the Empire network through design and management of appropriate delivery schedules and routes. Act as liaison between Caterpillar, Empire Transport, and other freight vendors.
  • Maintain unparalleled client service excellence for the Parts organization.
  • Manage the Warehouse Management and Delivery Management systems to ensure all required processes and technology are working and maintained.
  • Collaborate with other workgroups to ensure all parts and components are processed to ensure the most reliable delivery as possible.
  • Achieve margin and market share goals established by executive leadership.
  • Plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and lead a team to achieve fiscal and strategic business objectives.
  • Cultivate, develop, and train strong individuals and a high-caliber team.
  • Create an environment of ownership where each person is responsible and accountable for their performance.
  • Continually plan and forecast staffing requirements.
  • Work safely at all times. Adheres to all applicable safety policies. Complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide proper and accurate accounting and management reports. Know the current systems, projects in progress and future workload needs.
  • Regularly visit other Parts warehouse locations to help drive efficiency and consistency in process.
  • Partner with the Parts General Managers and Operation Managers to develop and review the Parts policies that affect warehousing.
  • Focus on excellence in client satisfaction.
  • Continuously improve department efficiency and lower real costs.
  • Ensure that proper standards of service are provided to our clients, both internal and external.
  • Works within and promotes corporate values.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering preferred or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience managing within Parts or Supply Chain operations.
  • Advanced user of MS Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
