We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our team at CMI Group, North (Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing).

Location: 2688 E Rose Garden Ln, Phoenix, AZ 85050 (This position is on site, not remote)

Supply Chain Manager

Lead the activities related to the purchase of material, material planning, production planning, inventory control, shipping/receiving and stores functions within Cassavant Machining, Inc. Manager will develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and material control systems. Individual will manage the Material Management Function to meet the customers’ needs in terms of delivery, inventory, cost and quality. Individual will be accountable for building up the functional excellence to support business objectives. Individual will lead project teams within the business.

Key measures of success will include on-time delivery, inventory reduction-utilization, and material cost reduction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Strong leadership skills

· Proven experience in ERP/MRP systems to schedule, plan and purchase raw material for the operations

· Proven experience implementing ERP systems

· Proven experience in planning and scheduling

· Proven experience in production control

· Inventory control

· Optimize Material Management Procedures

· Health, Safety and Environment Compliance

· Measure Supplier Capability and Capacity

· Reviewing and updating supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards, laws and regulations

· Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring and assessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices

· Implementing logistic strategies, tracking goods from the origination point to the warehouse

· Analyzing the supply chain data and solving any issues or putting alternative plans in place

· Reviewing and updating supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards, laws and regulations

· Identifying and minimizing risk by predicting the demand for products and adopting new technology with no interruption to the process

· Managing inventory, packing and distributing

· Developing safety guidelines, teaching and enforcing the protocols

· Supervising and training employee

· Engage in New Production Introduction (NPI) activities

· Develop Talent resource planning

· Champion Sourcing process based on best value to drive reduced material cost and improved material availability and quality.

· Assist in developing and maintaining department policies, procedures and work instructions.

· Other duties may be assigned.

Education/ Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or equivalent

· 10 years’ experience with Material planning, purchasing of material, production planning, inventory control, and shipping/receiving

A minimum of 8 years of experience that includes:

· Selecting, managing, and developing employees

· All disciplines of the supply chain preferred but must include planning and procurement.

· Must have a process improvement background with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other methodology

· Computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP planning systems.
