Job Title: 11 Month Warranty Superintendent

Reports To: Warranty Manager

Job Summary

The individual in this role works directly with homebuyers and the Warranty Superintendent at scheduled 11-month warranty appointments to address any warrantable claims or concerns homeowners may have with their home before the one-year warranty expires; works with contractors and field employees to coordinate approved repair work, as required.

Key Responsibilities

· Reports to work on time and wears the proper or prescribed uniform

· Must be responsive, punctual and maintain a pleasant, friendly, and helpful demeanor at all times to customers, contractors, and fellow employees by promoting an environment of teamwork, customer satisfaction and camaraderie

· Greets the customers with a smile creating a positive and lasting first impression of the company

· Abide by the policies and standards as set out by the Employee Handbook

· Assist other Warranty Superintendent staff as well as field team members, as required

· Communicates with homeowners as well as subcontractors regarding warranty issues/claims

· Responsible for personally making approved minor home repairs

· Ability to multitask

· Must be a team player, work well with others

· Ability to work with sheetrock and other building materials for approved minor home repairs

· Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license

· Position requires driving to various job locations, in company vehicle.

· Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

· High School diploma or equivalent required

· 2+ years of experience in the construction industry preferred

· Adequate computer skills required

Physical Requirements

The 11 Month Warranty Superintendent position is a physically demanding position that requires the following:

· Ability to occasionally stand, walk, crawl, climb, reach, bend, kneel, balance, stoop, or sit up for more than eight hours a day.

· Ability to drive during or most of the work shift from location to location

· Use of hands to make minor home repairs; feel or reach objects and tools

· Hearing and talking with several people during or most of the entire work shift

· The use of varying vision abilities such as close vision, peripheral, depth and in adjusting focus.

· Be able to lift and carry items of up to 50 pounds

· Being able to tolerate outdoor temperature changes and various weather conditions

· Being able to move around in the work area independently or without external help
