Job Summary


The Student Services Supervisor of Recruitment is responsible for managing the college’s student recruitment strategy, including developing and implementing a recruitment plan and providing resources and information to assist in moving prospects to enrolled students. In addition, this position requires a high level of technical, supervisory, customer service, and project management competencies: supervise all Student Services specialists and Student Ambassadors; manages virtual and in-person workload/services; line management system lead/support, virtual lobbies and appointments, recruitment/onboarding, staff training/development, and supports CGCC Enrollment Services Welcome Desk.

Essential Functions


30% - Manages, develops and implements a comprehensive recruitment plan that involves effective prospective student management, targeted recruitment efforts including web-based application and delivery, effectively enrolling prospective students, and initiates strategies for student success and retention; educates students and parents regarding various pathways to higher education.

30% - Develops, implements and leads training for Recruitment business processes. Supports Welcome Desk, Live Enrollment Support (LES), and QLess; assists with setting goals and monitoring of metric in collaboration with other key college areas.

20% - Supervises, evaluates, and develops staff in the department.

10% - Develops long- and short-range goals to strategically align the department with overall goals of the college; leads new initiatives and projects; implements program and operational changes related to the department's strategic plan; assists in developing and managing department budgets, storage, and inventory of marketing supplies.

10% - Ensures compliance of college, district, state, and federal policies and procedures relating to Recruitment. Participate in the Student Outreach and Recruitment Council, Dynamic Line Management Council, and New Student Orientation Council, College Strategic Enrollment Management committee, Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, sociology, business administration or directly related field and four (4) full-time quivalent years of student services or related experience such as recruitment, marketing, sales

OR

Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and six (6) full-time equivalent years of student services or related experience such as recruitment, marketing, sales

OR

High School Diploma or GED and eight (8) full-time equivalent years of student services or related experience such as recruitment, marketing, sales

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Two (2) years of experience working in one or combination of multiple areas within Student Affairs and/or Enrollment Services (Recruitment, Admissions, or related area)
  • Two (2) years of experience developing and overseeing recruitment strategies, annual recruitment goals and objectives, and outreach events in support of the college’s strategic plan
  • Experience in preparing reports and utilizing data such as dashboards to recommend and implement data-driven initiatives
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and assessing staff-onboarding, training, and professional development
  • Experience in using Student Information Systems such as PeopleSoft, Banner
