As a Lunar Program Stress Engineering Manager, you will:

• Manage and be responsible for all aspects of talent management for the stress analysis team, including training, professional and career development, performance evaluations, promotions and compensation as well as ensuring the team reaches critical milestones in a timely manner
• Prepare and present technical data and recommendations to program management and to external customers
• Actively support strategic initiatives to enable affordability and efficiency and to utilize standard products and common designs
• Work collaboratively with the program and functional senior leadership to manage staffing requirements and plan job assignments and rotations to sustain engineering capabilities and critical skills
• Promote an active, inclusive and diverse work culture which fosters innovation and technical talent

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in aerospace structural analysis, spanning missiles and/or spacecraft
• Experienced with spacecraft or aircraft structural analysis methods, including classical hand calculations and experience with mechanical joints
• Advanced structural analysis capability with ABAQUS or NX/NASTRAN finite element modeling or equivalent
• Ability to plan, propose and coordinate work and personnel across multiple projects and organizational structures
• Technical leadership experience and the ability to address cost and schedule challenges.
• Ability to organize, motivate, mentor and lead groups of engineers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to effectively communicate with and make presentations to a diverse set of management and customers over complex technical issues

Desired Skills:

• At least 12 years of experience in aerospace structural analysis, spanning missiles and/or spacecraft
• A Master's degree is strongly preferred for this position
• Ability to work in a collaborative and highly integrated team environment
• Ability and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems
• Knowledge across multiple engineering fields, manufacturing processes and test
• Experience with static tests and development of test plans
• Ability to mentor junior analysts

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $118,100 - $226,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
