Community Options, a national nonprofit supporting people with disabilities, is hiring a Strategic Operations Assistant to be based in Princeton, NJ. Reporting to the VP of Strategic Operations, the Special Projects Manager will support executive management in achieving organizational goals in governmental affairs, marketing and communications, fundraising, and special events. The Strategic Operations Assistant completes tasks that are pertinent to the organization overall strategic operational goals. The Special Assistant may work on many projects simultaneously throughout multiple locations of the company.
Responsibilities
- Develop and promote effective content to increase engagement and exposure across all social media platforms and nontraditional methodologies.
- Conceptualize and research creative ways to improve the social media platforms and integration.
- Support government relations by tracking and advancing legislative initiatives for federal and state policies.
- Research funding opportunities from government agencies and private foundations.
- Work in tandem with state, regional, executive, associate, managing and other directors to coordinate marketing and communication activities of Community Options.
- Data analysis for varying levels of operation in order to identify trends, areas of improvement and areas of success
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Experience with social media platforms and analytics
- Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Communicates well with various levels both internally and externally
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 1-3 years of experience in communications, project management, or government relations
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Team oriented with demonstrated leadership experience
- Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
