As a member of the Special Technology Programs (STP) you will support the Military Development Programs (MDP) and GATORWORKS organization in various tasks.

This position’s responsibilities as Engine Schedule & Maintenance Manager is critical to the successful execution of our program requirements and customer’s needs. This role will be an onsite position working in an SAP/SAR (Special Access Program / Special Access Required) environment.

  • Challenge target to actual forecast consumption; trending of maintenance scrap rates, audit system generated recommendations and potential forecast changes
  • Manage and optimize customer target rotable material pool that supports maintenance turn-time requirements, while minimizing inventory and meeting depot and field requirements
  • Initialize and load propulsion system hardware into the P&W engine maintenance management system (MXI)
  • Track propulsion system configuration changes
  • Document significant maintenance actions
  • Generate maintenance plans for engines inducted to the facility. Gain alignment on plans from key stakeholders and ensure completion to work in accordance with those plans.
  • Generate forecast reports as required to manage daily maintenance and operation activities.
  • Host Pre and Post Dock meeting
  • Develop Shop Visit Reports
  • Support Fleet Readiness Asset Management and Fleet Metrics teams as part of overall Fleet Management on data analysis and integration as required
  • Plan repair inductions at repair facilities based on overall depot capabilities, tooling availability, supply posture, funding, containers, and hardware status to support engine maintenance
  • Monitor and address daily inputs on induction and planning constraints at depot repair locations
  • Coordinate with Customer Support Engineering to resolve non-conforming parts issues.
  • Review reports and file orders for appropriate export markings
  • Participate in daily, weekly, monthly, and annual module status and depot induction planning and scheduling meetings
  • Respond to requests for information from Engineering and internal subject matter experts
  • Participate in the development of Fleet Management Plans.
  • Collaborate on current and impending issues facing the respective modules and associated components
  • Provide status on forecasted work and accomplished repairs to program sustainment leadership and customers
  • Interface with internal and external organizations and customers to communicate and prepare for, successful material alignment, material sourcing, material expedite, and compliant international shipment
  • Reporting element that includes, a suite of Business Units reports, both routine and ad-hoc
  • Drive continuous improvement across the materials organization utilizing the ACE tools
  • This position requires strong communication skills – both written and verbal.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; A minimum of 8+ years of Military Aerospace Maintenance experience required.
  • Or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 additional years of Military Aerospace Maintenance experience is acceptable.
  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
  • Must have a current US DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain US DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to work weekends and alternative shifts occasionally to support business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting engine repair induction forecasting
  • Experience with military engine repair cycles, and use of TOD.
  • Familiarity with AFI 21-101, Maintenix (MXI), Comprehensive. Engine Management & Integrated Maintenance Data Systems (CEMS/ IMDS).
  • Experience as USAF Base Engine Manager or Aircraft Planning & Scheduling.
  • Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul gas-turbine engine facility experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Programming and Database (Microsoft Access) Experience.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools.
