Position Summary:
Is a training role requiring four official weeks of training with supervising weeks in between. Once training is under way, will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in managing and directing the efficient operation of assigned store to maximize sales and profitability.
Essential Job Functions:
Greet all guests in a friendly manner to make them feel welcomed, appreciated, and always “make it right” for our guests. Effectively operate the register, processing sales transactions in an efficient and friendly manner to minimize guest wait time.
Effectively demonstrate leadership attributes to include: building and maintaining trust with the store team by setting clear and measurable goals, holding self and others accountable, and communicating frequently and effectively.
Assist Store Manager with building and developing a strong store team: training, scheduling, coaching, offering feedback on performance of the team, supporting a working environment that promotes engagement and living the Company values – working collaboratively with Store Manager.
Partner with Store Manager to achieve operational excellence, and hit financial objectives.
Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store (inside and out) ensuring that the coffee station is clean and stocked; the food service area is spotless and the bathrooms are sparkling clean, delegating and directing team to maintain condition levels up to Company’s standard.
Monitor product levels on the sales floor, including coolers and freezers, rotating stock and keeping product levels full so that we have what our guests’ desire and achieve the Company goal of 100% in-stock at all times.
In locations that offer hot food - Assists the Store Manager by overseeing quality control, merchandising, safety programs and other guidelines in place for successful food service operation.
Identify the cause of shrink and work effectively to control losses and help to increase profits.
Will be expected to learn how to prepare Store Manager’s daily reports and complete banking tasks according to company policy during training weeks and to complete these duties in the Store Manager’s absence.
Will be expected to learn and complete merchandising ordering for product and supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels and maximize sales without merchandise out of stocks.
Will be expected to learn and manage proper merchandise deliveries, ensuring that product is correctly checked in and accounted for utilizing the company’s PDI process and equipment.
Will assist with the implementation of corporate merchandising policies, procedures, and programs.
Will be expected to learn about the company’s communication channels and ensure that information flows to all store team members, advising the Store Manager of significant events affecting the store.
Perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Store Manager.

MITs who have completed at least three weeks of formal training, the Module book and the Training Checklist are eligible to cover for a Store Manager’s vacation. MITs who have successfully completed the entire training program are eligible to cover a Store Manager’s leave of Absence as a MIT II.
The Regional Trainer must be notified of the intent to use a Manager in Training for vacation coverage or LOA in advance.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
I year of retail or food experience – must complete entire MIT training program within 6 months to remain in position
Ability to deliver deposits independently and have own vehicle to do so.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs but could be more based on the job location.
Must be able to perform all Guest Service Associate duties and be actively working towards completion of the MIT Training program with the ability to step in to cover the absence of the Store Manager.
Able to work 45 hours per week normally, 48 hours per week during formal training
Able to work opposite shift of Store Manager (flexible nights, weekends and holidays) during non-training weeks
Desired Previous Job Experience & Education:
1 year retail or food experience in a leadership role High School or GED
Stable work history
Proficient computer skills.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
