Up to $7,500 Sign-On bonus for experienced Sterile Processing Tech

Summary

The Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the reprocessing of all sterile and non-sterile materials, instruments, and equipment for surgery and other hospital units. The Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for manual cleaning and decontamination; operating the mechanical washers and sonic units; testing autoclaves for efficiency and maintaining compliant records; The Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician assists in the recall process as needed. As a certified technician, the technician will also assist in the eduation and training of other staff (e.g., new hires) with respect to quality assurance, performance improvement, and departmental compliance.

Minimum Requirements

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience

Required: 6 months minimum required as CS/SPD Tech or other relevant

Certification
CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification required. Certification must be up to date and kept current
