Part Time
Avg 10+ hours/wk
Flexible Weekdays 4 pm - 8pm and SUMMER (8am-4pm)
Saturdays 10 am-2pm
Who are we?
In our center, kids ages 5-16 learn about coding, technology, and get great social interaction with other kids their age in a fun, non-intimidating. Kids have blast learning to code and while building their very own video games and can’t wait to come back. Parents love watching their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, logic, and problem-solving all in a safe and fun environment. What are we looking for (Great Job for Under Grads)?
We are looking for Lead Code Senseis to join our team of dynamic, energetic, motivational minds, working towards our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our senseis are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center. These individuals oversee the day-to-day student engagement and instruction under the supervision of the Center Director. Responsibilities include:
- Engage and motivate kids (our ninjas)
- Create a positive, safe, and fun environment in which children can thrive
- Demonstrate content knowledge and be familiar with Code Ninjas curriculum
- Interact with parents about their ninjas progress
- Be energetic, enthusiastic, and able to communicate effectively with kids
- Perform required opening/closing duties
- Work directly with Center Director
- Assist running of camps – Summer and Holidays
Qualifications (preferred):
- Working history with children ages 5 and up (babysitting, mentoring, coaching, tutoring etc.)
- Works well with others; collaborates
- Knowledgeable about coding and technology
- Having prior STEM-based learning experience - robotics, coding, technology, gaming, etc.
- Must like working in fast paced environment
Schedule:
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Looking for HS seniors with Video gaming and Computer Science interest)
- Students currently in Colleges are welcome. Flexible hours, so you can continue your studies while working.
