Job description

Staffing Coordinator/Recruiter

The staffing coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, employment, training and documentation of direct care personnel. Mature, well organized and motivated candidates are encouraged to apply.

Previous caregiving and health care experience is not needed, but welcomed. What is required is someone who understands the need for recruitment in a shift-filling industry.

Previous experience hiring and scheduling employees at restaurants, fast-food, retail, and hospitality jobs could be great fits for this type of role.

While the primary responsibilities are listed below, the right candidate would like working for a small but growing team. No job is too small, and we all are willing to jump in and help others when someone is overwhelmed with work.

The right person would be interested in improving the recruitment processes and needs to be motivated to find, interview and hire caregivers. The #1 way we recruit is through referrals from current caregivers. Developing a relationship with all of our caregivers is essential so that they are willing to refer their network to Minute Women. This also includes job fairs, CNA school meet and greets, online ads and other online avenues.

We are not just hiring caregivers, as they can get jobs anywhere, we want them to have as great of an experience on-boarding with us as a customer would. We are providing not just great customer service, but exceptional caregiver service, as there is no company without them.

You would be working within the operations team and with the care coordinator, who handles the scheduling of shifts and cases. The two departments need to work together to understand what types (read shifts) of caregiver are needed. Do we need day-time, night-time, short-hour, long-hour or live-in specific caregivers right now? You would go and find those caregivers and work as a team to understand the ebbs and flows of what types of caregivers we need is essential to success.

Finally, your direct manager would be the Director of Client Care, who handles the day-to-day operation of our clients and their care services. Rounding out our team is a sales liaison who develops relationships with referral partners and a field supervisor who supervises, trains and supports caregivers in homes and assisted living communities.
