Job description

This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by coordinating, reviewing, researching, compiling, and analyzing information submitted to the Section on all matters related to the certification of health facilities conducted by the Licensing & Certification Division, under the Federal Social Security Act Title XIX- Medi-Cal.

The incumbent works under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager I.

Teleworking may be available for this position, in accordance with CDPH’s Telework Policy and Procedures.

Duty Statement:

Responsible for the intake, review, analysis, coordination, and processing of all incoming certification-related transactions involving all health facilities certified by the Licensing & Certification (L&C) Division under the Federal Social Security Act Title XIX. Review and process workload related to non-enforcement actions, such as but not limited to initial certifications, changes in ownership, names, locations, Medi-Cal reactivations, Medicare/Medi-Cal conversions, and voluntary withdrawal from Medi-Cal Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate review, analysis, and completion of Medi-Cal Provider Agreements, the collection and completion of correspondence of related provider ownership disclosures, as required by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and CDPH for health facility participation in Medi-Cal. Use the main database for the health care facility application information, Electronic License Management System (ELMS), to create certification kits, update status’s, enter pertinent notes, and upload required documentation. Ensure data accuracy when entering any information into ELMS.
