CES Consultants, Inc. is looking for a Civil or Environmental Engineer to join the Water/Wastewater/Water Resources team.

The Role

As a member of our Civil Engineering team, this role contributes skills and knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure projects that include pipelines, pump stations, stormwater, and related civil engineering projects, ranging from City-wide masterplans to infrastructure improvements to municipal and public works projects.

This role is responsible for:

• Assisting senior project engineers and the project management team in preparing schedules and budgets.
• Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them on plans and in the field.
• Cooperating and communicating with the project manager and other project participants and collaborating with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project's profitability.
• Developing and preparing engineering design plans (ACAD drawings).
• Developing and preparing specifications for the projects.

• Ensuring the project's compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
• Identifying and continuously assessing potential risks, materials, and costs to support the project team.
• Performing other related duties as required.

What You Bring

• Undergraduate degree in engineering (Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical or Structural).
• At least 2-5 years of post-graduation experience in engineering, designing, and/or construction.
• Engineer-in-Training (EI/EIT) or Professional Engineer.
• Understanding of permitting requirements and procedures for specific engineering discipline.
• Strong grasp of regulatory requirements and administrative code for specific engineering discipline.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional communication skills.

What You Need To Succeed

• Experience with consulting or operational characteristics, services and activities of a comprehensive civil engineering or infrastructure program/project involved in the design, construction management, inspection and contract administration of water, wastewater and/or stormwater system facilities or related projects.
• Proficiency in engineering, modeling, and project management software.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to apply design and safety standards and adhere to industry regulations.
• Desire to obtain a Florida Professional Engineering license, and/or perform at a Professional Engineering level.
