WHAT WE DO
Our corporate teams support our family of brands through managing the “back office” work so the team members who support in the production of our products can focus on making great tasting, innovative quality craft beverages. Our shared services team is made up by accounting/finance, human resources, marketing, and sales, who are all skilled in their space and share a love of craft beverages.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Staff Accountant is responsible for general accounting activities mostly related to the Direct to Consumer (DTC) function of the organization. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, this individual will support the 5-day financial closing process and day to day accounting for the company.
Reports to: Accounting Manager
- Prepare and post journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations in conjunction with the month-end close process.
- Assist in the accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closes.
- Perform detailed account analysis and general ledger account roll forwards.
- Review areas within the general ledger for accuracy of reporting and GAAP/regulatory compliance.
- Reconcile bank accounts on a daily transactional basis.
- Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including posting invoices, making vendor payments, applying customer payments, and preparing deposits.
- Processing and reconciling of intercompany transactions
- Monthly processing of company credit card activity
- Recording of Fixed Asset activity in the Sage software environment
- Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process.
- Other general accounting and month-end close duties as assigned.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, CPA or progression towards a plus.
- Work Experience: 3-5 years’ experience industry accounting
- PC skills including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced Excel.
- Proficient use of automated general ledger systems and reporting tools. (SAP, Orchestrated Beer, Sage FAS a plus)
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet required deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both internal and external, across all levels.
- Team-oriented.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently.
