St Vincent de Paul Orlando Thrift Stores in Apopka, FL is looking for a Local Box Truck driver to join our team. We are located on 770 S. Orange Blossom Trail, Apopka, FL 32703.

Job summary:

A key member of the St. Vincent de Paul Orlando Thrift Store Team, focused on service to the customers, pick-up, and delivery of Stores donations.

Job Duties:

1. Responsible for the operation of the truck assigned, including fueling, inspecting for mechanical issues, cleaning, safe and defensive driving.

2. Punctual and work required shifts consistently.

3. Communicate with the recipient of goods by calling and scheduling time of delivery.

4. Complete Store runs as assigned.

5. Responsible for loading and unloading furniture located at donor homes and businesses.

6. Handle donated goods with care and safety.

7. Check and inspect all furniture for any damages.

8. Breakdown and setup furniture items based on customer needs.

9. Prioritize routes based upon job size and complexity.

10. Meet the safety, truck management and personal conduct expectations as outlined in the Delivery Drivers Department Work Rules.

11. Able to lift more than 25 lbs.

12. Willing to work cooperatively with the Trucking, Store and Processing Center Staffs.

13. Communicate with the public in a friendly and courteous manner.

12. Capable of performing all job functions, reading, and writing, computer and smart phone usage, loading and unloading trucks.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $11.00 - $12.00/hour.
