What we are looking for:


Yazaki is looking for a Logistics Sr. specialist to join our team in La Vergne, Tn. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.


The Logistics Sr. Specialist will Lead the development and implementation of Finished Goods Logistics KPIs and Forecasting activities, including data analysis, modeling, & tool development. Direct interaction will be required with internal customers and service providers, as well as limited interaction with external customers.


What you will be doing:


Under direction from management and using independent judgment, analyzes financial planning data, carline data, packaging detail, & Distribution Center data to consolidate information required for short, mid, & long term forecasting and development of Metrics. Provides management with detailed reports for the use in making business decisions and controlling expenditures.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develops metrics
  • Prepares and maintains finished goods logistics detail and volumes for use in forecasting and long-term planning of Distribution, Logistics, & Transportation
  • Participates in or leads the development and implementation of process improvements
  • Creates and maintains project plans
  • Plans and manages projects and manages targets and deadlines
  • Provides mentoring and coaching as necessary
  • Leads cross-functional teams
  • Compiles data to create reports
  • Generates and analyzes metrics
  • Writes queries
  • Develops and makes presentations
  • Presents business cases for logistic strategies to management and executives
  • Supports cost analysis & business cases
  • Coordinates and completes GPMS tasks to support program reviews
  • Performs financial reporting, tracking and analysis
  • Knowledge of system hardware and software used in the Distribution Centers, including Bar Code Printers and Labels
  • Assesses Material Handling Equipment requirements
  • Supports EMS/QMS, Corporate and departmental policies
  • Assists management in meeting corporate and departmental goals and objectives
  • Coordinates, attends and documents internal and external customer meetings
  • Advanced knowledge and application of the following systems
    • SAP
    • Microsoft Power BI
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Access
    • TMS
    • SQL
    • Microsoft Office Applications
  • Associate must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions

Minimum Requirements


Degree Requirements:


Bachelor’s Degree or previous experience as specified below



Previous Experience:


Five years previous experience in Financial Planning, Cost Estimating, or Logistics Planning preferably in the automotive sector



Travel Requirements:


Domestic and International as required



On Call Requirements:


As necessary
