The Sr. Social Strategist is responsible for helping create, concept and complete strategies, programs and campaigns using consumer insights, trends, best practices, technologies, and innovations. This position requires experience with social media, digital, and/or content experience. Must possess a true passion for building innovative experiences and content that engages consumers toward the client’s overall brand goals. This position is client-facing and requires strong presentation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a passion for constant learning.

Strategic Planning Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic oversight for client campaigns and projects, providing the creative team direction to ensure the marketing and creative work is on-strategy and on-brand
  • Developing strategies for selling ideas and providing rationale from research to support strategy
  • Write inspiring (social) creative briefs and brief in-house teams or partner agencies to develop the content/experience needed to bring channels to life
  • Researching, analyzing and presenting cultural and social trends that affect the marketplace for our client’s brands
  • Leading/participating in brainstorming sessions with research, planning and creative teams to develop brand strategies that drives rich creative thinking
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative research and the ability to synthesize and analyze data, draw actionable conclusions and identify trends
  • Utilize research and tools to help populate customer profiles and personas; identify unmet needs, hypothesize key customer problems/digital solutions
  • Collaborate effectively and support knowledge sharing with colleagues from a range of disciplines including Strategy, Creative, Account Management
  • Create clear, compelling content for client presentations, POVs, and other deliverables
  • Maintains accurate timesheets that are completed by required deadlines

Digital/Social/Content Strategy Responsibilities:

  • Determine digital channels to be leveraged and ideate tactics that align with digital strategy and client goals
  • Understand how digital content moves through today’s media landscape and define relevant and impactful content strategies for client digital channels (including website, media, social)
  • Experience concepting, delivering and executing programs for leading consumer brands including: social media, content marketing, and paid social media
  • Embody a content marketing mindset including the ability to marry the social media strategy with the brand’s attitude, tone & voice
  • Analyze primary and secondary research findings to gain clear, polished insights that help inform overall social platform and creative strategy
  • Provide content optimization recommendations during content planning and development
  • Hybrid of executional expertise combined with the ability to think strategically and across the consumer journey—and someone who can help bring together social strategy and creative planning for social in unique and groundbreaking ways
  • Development of social media driven pitches and campaign development
  • Both as comfortable and effective leading a brainstorm as you are presenting to clients.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience within strategic planning with concentration on digital, social or content strategy
  • Strong passion and strategic understanding of social media technologies, uses, and best practices, such as blogs, forums/comments, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Tumblr, etc.)
  • Use of social insights and measurement platforms
  • Strong understanding of user research, user-centric design principles, and online consumer behavior
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Dynamic problem-solving skills and the ability to influence internal teams
  • Able to work with bi-coastal teams

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company(applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
