The Senior Marketing Communications Specialist supports the Strategic Marketing Manager in the execution of marketing campaigns, aligned with the objectives of the business. This position will drive the conversion of technical data and concepts into value propositions and impactful messaging deployed via multiple channels (digital, social, print, etc). This individual will support inbound/outbound communications, tradeshows, or other campaigns. The Senior Marketing Communications Specialist will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders in the production and deployment of technical content according to the marketing plan. This position requires experience in marketing communications, including knowledge of content/copywriting, project management, marketing channels, and analytics to deliver high-quality, impactful content in the biotechnology space.


Your Responsibilities:
  • Execute campaigns and relevant content for the supported business area
  • Develop messages, taglines, and written content for integrated marketing campaigns, optimized by channel.
  • Create engaging customer-facing content including videos, webinars, application notes, white papers, and technical articles to gain awareness and establish thought leadership.
  • Nurture customers with relevant content served through multiple digital channels that align with the customer journeys.
  • Partner with vendors to execute campaigns to drive demand generation, build awareness and preference, increase win rate, and promote customer retention.
  • Execute marketing and sales collateral and content, both physical and digital, needed for sales support and outbound campaigns; ensure materials are aligned to brand and appropriate approval processes.
  • Execute the creation of collateral and communications programs for the launch of new products and solutions.
  • Establish and monitor relevant metrics/KPIs and analytics to ensure outbound communications programs are delivering impact across marketing channels and regions.
  • Responsible for internal marketing communications (sales training, newsletter, internal events, etc).
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or related scientific field
  • 3-5 years of related experience in regulated markets, molecular diagnostics, and/or life sciences industry
  • Working knowledge of life sciences products, underlying technologies, and applications.
  • Exceptional skills in developing and executing complex digital marketing initiatives including authoring content for webpages, display advertising, search engine marketing (SEM) and optimization (SEO), social, video, and automation approaches
  • Demonstrated success in creating and delivering presentations and training for a wide variety of audiences, including sales teams, regional marketing, and customers; excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer focus in terms of understanding customer needs, drivers and putting these at the forefront of business decisions
  • Creative intuition on design and messaging that resonates with customers and an ability to learn from previous marketing campaigns to improve performance
  • Ability to translate performance metrics into actionable business decisions
  • Ability to identify and understand new applications and hot topics from the field
  • Possess excellent project management, organization, time-management, planning, and budgeting skills
  • Interpersonal effectiveness and rapport building
  • Ability to have influence across functional teams and geographies in a complex, highly matrixed organization
  • A minim of 3 years of relevant research and/or commercial experience in laboratory environment preferred
