Job description

As a Senior CAD Designer, tasks will include the following: ? Design by using NX CAD system ? Navigate Teamcenter (PLM), search and signoff on parts ? Model simple or complex parts, assemblies, and dependent components ? Define and apply GD&T for both assemblies and dependent components. ? Develop new designs and re-designs, using prints, models, sketches, and verbal instructions ? Create complex concept layouts. ? Perform max/min tolerance stack-ups. ? Plan for overall project and component design timing and communicate to design supervisor ? Review other designer?s drawings and models for completeness and accuracy ? Multitask by supporting multiple component designs for different programs ? Ensure Bill of Material (BOM) accuracy between CAD and Teamcenter ? Customer Design Standards ? Automotive Design Principals ? Materials ? Standards, properties, and applications ? Fasteners ? Standards and applications
Skills Required? Manufacturing Process Knowledge (Casting, Stamping, Welding, Machining) ? Oral & Written Communication Skills ? Analytical/ Problem Solving ? Knowledge in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry ? Knowledge in general materials, manufacturing processes and related tolerances ? Interpersonal Skills ? MS Office ? Knowledge in AAM products; assemblies and components ? Organizational Skills ? GD&T ? Project Planning Skills ? Reading/interpretation of drawings ? Modeling and drawing standards ? Knowledge of ASME and ANSI industry standards and symbology ? Project Planning Skills ? Reading/interpretation of drawings ? Modeling and drawing standards ?
